Position Posting: Administrative Assistant for Cochrane Minor Basketball Association
 

Cochrane Minor Basketball Association is looking for an Administrator!  
 

As an independent consultant, working from their own home, the ideal administrative assistant will contract his/ her services to the association, to manage the day to day operations of the association on an as-needed basis. The hours are flexible and will average 20 hours per week during peak times (league start-up) and 5-12 hours per week throughout the season.
 

We are looking for interest from qualified members of Cochrane Minor Basketball, realizing a familiarity with the sport, and investment in the community will be an asset, easiest to find within our CMBA family.  

 

Our current Administrator will provide a transition and training period between August - December 2018, with this role taking full responsibility in January 2019.

The Administrative Assistant duties include the following services:

 

1.1.   Process registrations and ensure players/ teams are registered with Calgary Minor Basketball.

1.2.   Update member information as needed on Calgary Minor Basketball’s database system.

1.3.   Prepare team rosters/ player lists and distribute to coaches/ team managers.

1.4.   Coordinator volunteers and monitor/ record volunteer commitments.

1.5.   Coordinate gym bookings and rentals.

1.6.   Coordinate casinos (as they become available; typically once every 2 years).

1.7.   Perform financial duties, including basic banking duties and cross reference invoices before payment is received.

1.8.   Attend Cochrane Minor Basketball board meetings.

1.9.   Communicate messages/ announcements to members (usually via email).

1.10.    Maintain a positive relationship with Spray Lakes Family Sports Centre, Calgary Minor Basketball, Rockyview School Division (and host schools) and the CMBA board.

1.11.    File and maintain information, correspondence, and other documents in an organized fashion.

1.12.    Additional duties, as requested by the CMBA Board, to aid in the operation of the association (e.g. order uniforms or other supplies, arrange advertising, etc.)

Compensation is dependent on experience.
