CoMBA Players Code of Conduct

I agree that playing in this league is a significant commitment and I will do my best to attend all team practices and games.

I will let my coaches or team manager know whenever I cannot make a game or practice session. I realize the importance of team play and building skill levels that comes through regular practice.

I will work hard on learning the fundamentals of the game including shooting, dribbling, passing, catching, footwork and rebounding as well as basic offensive and defensive strategies.

I will practice and play games as well as I can with a spirit of sportsmanship, fair play and respect.

I agree to treat all of my teammates, coaches, league officials, parents and spectators with courtesy and respect, including:

•     Listening to and following directions of my coaches and league officials.
  ·     Not talking back or saying anything disrespectful to my coaches, referees, teammates, parents or spectators.
  ·     Never teasing or criticizing players on my team or any other team.

I will not be selfish with the ball - I will include all of my teammates in our practice and games.

As a player representing the Cochrane Minor Basketball Association and local community, I will try my best to honour all of the statements above.

As a parent representing the Cochrane Minor Basketball Association and the local community, I will help my child understand and honour these commitments.
